The Gosford Memorial Park is located in the southern end of Mann Street in Gosford. It is a very significant site for Gosford with a long association with the area as a memorial. To the east of the park is the historic Anglican Christ Church, and to the south and west is Brisbane Water (harbour).

The south and west boundaries of the park are the original escarpment of the waterfront and mark the only existing natural element of the original foreshore. As such they are of environmental as well as historical significance as it is the only land-form which allows one to read the geography of the original site.
